This twisty sci-fi adventure recently picked up golden globes for best actress in a motion picture musical/ comedy by Michelle Yeoh and best-supporting actor in a motion picture by Ke Huy Quan. The film has acquired an astonishing 11 nominations for lead actress Michelle Yeoh, supporting actresses Stephanie Hsu and Jamie Lee Curtis, and supporting actor Ke Huy Quan — plus best picture, best directing, best original screenplay, best costumes, music, visual effects, and editing, all curated from this beautifully told Asian American story. Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh – who has worked in Hollywood for decades – was the first Asian nominee for best actress in nearly nine decades, since 1936. Even Yeoh even the American Press that “What it means for the rest of the Asians around the. world, not just in America but globally, is to say we have a seat at the table. We finally have a seat at the table. We are being recognized xxxxx and being seen.” which shows the influence these nominations have had astronomically.
